Support the Walk On Campaign

I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.” — Maya Angelou

Gifts of all kinds and all sizes enable Morning Dove to continue to deliver its transformative therapy.

WAYS TO GIVE

Outright Gifts

  • Gifts made today or over a few years will benefit the Center, its programs and its riders immediately.
  • Your outright gifts can be cash, securities or other assets which might be readily converted to cash. Gifts of securities will be sold as soon as feasible. Please note that the Campaign Steering Committee will review all proposed non-cash gifts to assure they meet the needs of Morning Dove and to establish gift value.
  • Please contact us for securities transfer information or to discuss your gift and how you would like to help Morning Dove.

Planned Giving

  • A planned gift to Morning Dove provides a perpetual benefit to the Center, its riders, its horses and its staff.
  • Planned giving can allow you to meet lifetime personal and family financial obligations.
  • Including Morning Dove in your estate plans can often enable a far more significant contribution than might otherwise be possible.
  • Planning with Morning Dove ensures that your gift will match your needs and be used only as you intended.

Below are examples of planned gift commitments:

  • a bequest through a will or trust
  • a charitable remainder trust
  • a charitable lead trust
  • a gift of property subject to life estate
  • a gift of life insurance
  • a retirement account

There is no minimum gift requirement.

Endowment Giving

Endowed funds are designed to ensure that money is available in perpetuity to support Morning Dove’s programs and riders. Each year a portion of the accrued interest is used to support our operations and programs; the remainder remains invested so that it will grow every year. Endowed funds become a “living” part of the Center. Many donors choose to create a fund to commemorate a family legacy, dear friend or another important individual.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR GIFT

Intentions to give can be conveyed to Morning Dove either by completing a Pledge form, or by contacting us directly at the address, e-mail or phone number below. Your outright gifts to the Walk On Campaign can be made either in a one-time payment or on a schedule that meets your needs over the campaign period. If you choose a payment schedule, Morning Dove will send you a reminder notice.

Your gift will be recognized by Morning Dove in a way that meets your wishes and works within the boundaries set by Morning Dove and the Campaign Steering Committee. You may choose to be recognized as an individual, a family, a corporation, or you may choose to commemorate another individual. In addition, there are a number of naming opportunities in our new facility which might also meet your giving goals.

I encourage you to explore our web site. Our riders and their families tell the story best. If you would like more information about the Walk On Campaign, our future or our present, we would enjoy hearing from you.
