Equine Management
Focused on Husbandry for our Herd
Our Intern in Equine Management is responsible for the routine care of the Morning Dove barn and herd. Also learning and assisting in the tenets of equine management including; health and wellness, behavior, first aid, barn management, acquiring horses, retiring horses, record keeping, and administrative responsibilities.
If applicable, the intern may learn the protocols of training, schooling, and exercising our therapy horses under the supervision and at the discretion of the Equine Manager.
Riding Instruction & Program Management
Focused on facilitating our variety of programs
Our Intern for Riding and Program Management will focus on teaching in our Therapeutic Riding Lessons. This individual will work to attain their PATH Instructor Certification while learning alongside our Lead Instructor, who has over 10 years of experience in Therapeutic Riding.
This individual will also be responsible for organizing and running our Haybales and Pony Tales Youth Reading Program, training new volunteers, and creating and executing on weekly lesson plans.

assisting in all aspects of our business management, including vendor management, customer communication, donor support, and event management. With a focus on
marketing and event planning, this position will help us plan, promote, and execute several large-scale events to help in our fundraising efforts.
