We Are Looking to Add to Our Team!
We are searching for an Assistant Barn Manager to help round out our team!
The Assistant Barn Manager will assist the Morning Dove team with routine barn and horse care throughout the week and weekends. The Assistant Manager’s first and primary responsibility each day is to help complete routine barn chores, which include cleaning stalls, spreading clean bedding, dumping/scrubbing/refilling water buckets, throwing hay flakes and hay bales, sweeping the aisle way and making meals for the horses.
The Assistant Barn Manager will use the remainder of his/her time to complete additional chores as needed. In addition, this position will routinely help with schooling and exercising activities for the horses, set forth by the Equine Manager. The Assistant Barn Manager is expected to follow the existing barn/equine care routines and develop a plan of action for seasonal shifts in chore routine. He/she will also direct short-term or long-term healthcare regimens, manage barn helper volunteers, and lead training and schooling exercise activities when the Equine Manager is unavailable.

Morning Dove is Excited to Welcome a New Staff Member
Carolyn Butera-Barker is an avid equestrian with over eight years of management experience working with animals and individuals with disabilities. She attended Purdue University, majoring in Animal Science, and later changed careers to work as a Rehabilitation Technician to serve the elderly and disabled in reaching their therapy goals. Carolyn now specializes in office and brand management, helping organizations achieve long-term goals. We are excited to have Carolyn join the Morning Dove team and use her gifts to improve the lives of children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapies and activities. Carolyn lives in Meridian-Kessler with her husband, Chad. They have 3 dogs and a horse named Neil. Carolyn is an active member of the Indiana Eventing Association and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America.
