What is a typical day like for you?
There is no typical day. And, I love that! My day starts with getting the kids up and out the door for school. At Morning Dove my day fluctuates between the organization’s needs for increased donor development and fundraising; to growing our corporate partnerships while strengthening ties to the communities & families we serve. Oh Yeah, and overseeing Morning Dove’s herd of HERO horses!

On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me:
Drinking coffee, catching up on the news of the week.

What do you think are the best skills you bring to your job?
Nearly 20 years of nonprofit business, organizational development, and fundraising experience.

Three words to describe yourself:
Driven, committed and caring

What impact would you like to have at Morning Dove?
MD is on the cusp of its next great phase. After recently celebrating the organizations 20th anniversary, MD is well-positioned to take the next step in its history. The impact of this next step is the impact that I look forward to having on the organization; to grow the organization’s community outreach, resource development and ultimately the number of kids and families we serve!

What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?
Over the course of the next year, MD will be concentrating on Community Development and Outreach, Resource Development and increasing our course offerings as we strive to serve more kids and have a greater impact in the community.

What publications do you regularly read?
With two kids, reading is a luxury at times! I keep up with the nonprofit sector with the help of several nonprofit web-based publications. Locally, the Star and of course the Zionsville Times Sentinel are regular reads

What are you happiest doing, when you’re not working?
At the beach in South Haven, Michigan.
